Role Description
- As a Business Development Manager, you will collaborate closely with leadership to drive business growth and identify new opportunities.
- Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing strategic plans, managing client relationships, identifying and pursuing leads, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts.
- Additionally, you will analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform decision-making.
- This is a full-time, on-site position based in Abuja, Nigeria.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve company growth targets.
- Identify, research, and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
- Generate leads through networking, cold calls, referrals, social media, and industry events.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified prospects and opportunities.
- Establish and maintain long-term client relationships to drive customer loyalty and repeat business.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify gaps and position the organization effectively.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop campaigns and promotional materials that support business goals.
- Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and product/service demonstrations to potential clients.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and agreements to secure profitable deals while protecting company interests.
- Work closely with internal teams (sales, operations, finance, HR, product development) to ensure smooth execution of business initiatives.
- Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and market conditions to anticipate business risks and opportunities.
- Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and performance dashboards for management review.
- Support the development of innovative products/services that meet changing customer demands.
- Provide feedback from clients and prospects to influence product development and service improvements.
- Represent the organization at conferences, exhibitions, trade fairs, and networking events.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements in business dealings.
- Mentor and support junior staff in business development and sales activities (where applicable).
