## Title: Business Development Associate - SME & E-commerce

Role Summary

We are seeking a commercially savvy, customer-obsessed Business Development Associate to drive growth across our SME, e-commerce, and beauty verticals. You will be responsible for acquiring high-potential brands, retailers, and fast-growing businesses while unlocking new revenue streams through our export offerings. This is a cross-functional, fast-moving role that requires creativity, hustle, and strong business acumen.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build a strong pipeline of inbound and outbound opportunities across fast-growing local brands
  • Drive adoption of Fez's export solution as an upsell for eligible customers
  • Manage full sales cycle: from outreach and pitch to negotiation, close, and onboarding
  • Collaborate with marketing, account management, and operations teams to optimize conversion and customer lifetime value
  • Identify whitespace opportunities and lead strategic experiments across your segment
  • Track performance via CRM and provide feedback to product and growth teams
  • Regularly report on pipeline health, key deals, and revenue contributions

Requirements

  • 4+ years in B2B sales, ideally selling to SMEs, e-commerce brands, or in the beauty industry
  • Proven success closing mid-size to high-value deals in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of how Nigerian SMEs operate, including pain points and buying cycles
  • Experience selling tech-enabled logistics, SaaS, or operational services (preferred)
  • Experience with or interest in export (major advantage)
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a customer-centric approach
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
