About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced financial professional to join our institution as Bursar. As Chief Financial Officer of the College and Head of the Bursary Department, you will play a pivotal role in managing the institution's financial operations and reporting directly to the Provost.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Chief Financial Officer of the College and Head of the Bursary Department
• Oversee the general financial work and management of the College
• Maintain custody of all financial records for the College, staff, and students
• Execute any additional functions as directed by Council or Provost

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with honours from a recognised higher institution in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACA, ACMA, ACCA, ANAN, or equivalent
• Active membership in a professional accounting body
• Minimum of 15 years of relevant post-qualification financial experience in a tertiary institution, supervisory body, or corporate organisation
• Minimum of 2 years of experience at the level of Deputy Bursar, Chief Accountant, or equivalent role
• Computer literacy
• Not above 59 years of age at time of application

Terms of Appointment

The Bursar shall hold office for a single term of five years from the effective date of appointment, subject to terms and conditions specified in the letter of appointment.
