Position Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join MacTay Consulting as a Brand Manager. This is a three-month contract position based in Lagos, Nigeria.
Job Summary
The Brand Manager builds marketing strategic plans in collaboration with the Marketing Lead and other departments, as well as external providers, to develop and execute local brand strategy in line with global best practice and local requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive Brand Plans for assigned brands in line with company guidelines
- Manage budget on a regular basis and ensure optimal allocation of ATL and BTL expenditures with full budget control
- Develop, implement, and control 360-degree brand engagement activities based on positioning and brand platform through close collaboration with communication, trade marketing, and sales departments
- Conduct post-campaign evaluation and provide feedback
- Support and oversee the Brand Activation Calendar and ensure excellent execution; deliver bi-monthly presentation updates to commercial, communication, and trade marketing teams
- Drive Event, PR, and Brand Image Building Activities from idea generation and brief development through launch; collaborate closely with the Communication department and third-party suppliers and agencies
- Develop detailed new product launch plans including Event and PR strategies, on-trade and off-trade activations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or related field (MBA is a plus)
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Brand Manager
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and brand management
- Good understanding and/or experience of Commercial and Trade Marketing
- Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and multi-dimensional tools (ESSBASE, EOS, Microsoft database type)
