Branch Manager at a Fast-Growing Supermarket

About the Role

A fast-growing supermarket with multiple branches across Lagos state is seeking a highly experienced and competent Branch Manager. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in retail business management, preferably within a supermarket, retail chain, or FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the branch to ensure efficiency, profitability, and excellent customer satisfaction
• Supervise, mentor, and motivate staff to achieve sales targets and maintain high service delivery standards
• Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and coordinate replenishment with the procurement team
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and internal controls
• Prepare and present periodic sales, performance, and operational reports to management
• Maintain a safe, clean, and customer-friendly store environment at all times
• Implement strategies to grow revenue, reduce shrinkage, and enhance overall store performance

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years proven experience in a managerial role within a supermarket, retail chain, or other structured retail environment
• B.Sc or HND in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent knowledge of retail operations, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service standards
• Proven ability to drive sales, improve operational efficiency, and effectively manage staff
• Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment
