About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Reconciliation Analyst to ensure that our client's financial records are accurate and up-to-date. This role is crucial in maintaining reliable financial records, identifying discrepancies, and resolving them in a timely manner. You will reconcile bank statements, investigate variances, and maintain comprehensive transaction records.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile general ledger accounts (cash, accounts payable/receivable, balance sheet accounts) to ensure accuracy
- Identify and investigate discrepancies between internal records and external statements, and resolve them promptly
- Analyze and verify transactions to ensure they are properly recorded and accounted for in the financial statements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of reconciliations, including documentation of discrepancies and resolutions
- Prepare reconciliation reports and other financial reports as required by management and stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to improve the reconciliation process and implement changes to increase efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes
- Ensure all reconciliations are performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a reconciliation or accounting role
- Proficiency in Excel, SAP, Oracle, or similar financial systems and processes
- Prior experience in fintech, banking, payments, or financial services
- Advanced technical skills, data analytics, and automation tools experience
