An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional.
Position Overview:
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Mid-Level Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial records and support accurate accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining proper books of accounts, reconcilations, and ensuring financial records are up to date and compliant.
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions (sales, expenses, payments, receipts)
- Post entries into accounting systems and maintain general ledger accounts
- Prepare bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial records
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable
- Assist with payroll records and statutory deductions where required
- Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes
- Generate basic financial reports (cash flow, expense reports, summaries)
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures
- Liaise with accountants/auditors when necessary
- HND/BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2–4 years relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience
- Good knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Excel)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Professional and ethical handling of financial information
- Numerical and analytical skills
- Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Record-keeping and documentation skills
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidentiality and integrity.
