Job Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our client as a Bartender. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of two years' experience in a relevant field, with previous experience in a similar position in a hotel.

Location

Awka, Anambra, Nigeria. Due to logistic challenges, candidates residing in Awka, Amawbia, or nearby areas are preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum two years' experience in a bartending or related field
• Previous experience in a hotel environment
• SSCE or OND qualification
• Residence in Awka, Amawbia, or nearby vicinities preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and determine beverage preferences through active listening and engagement
• Make recommendations and take drink orders accurately
• Plan drink menus and inform customers about new beverages and specials
• Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve beverages to customers
• Check identification to ensure customers are of legal age to purchase alcohol
• Develop new cocktail recipes
• Take inventory and order supplies to ensure the bar and tables are well-stocked
• Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with accuracy and balance the cash register
• Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment
• Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations
• Perform additional duties as assigned
