We are currently recruiting for an experienced and passionate Baker to join our dynamic production team in our SPAR Market-FESTAC location. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 3 years of experience in a bakery or similar environment, with strong understanding of baking techniques and a commitment to producing high quality baked goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and Bake variety of cakes and pastries
- Follow recipes accurately and adjust ingredients as necessary to achieve desired results
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the bakery area, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Monitor Inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate with the bakery manager to order stock as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and improve existing products.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any inquiries or concerns from customers regarding baked goods.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
- SSCE/OND/HND/BSC in food science, human nutrition, chemistry, microbiology or related field.
- A degree or certification in baking or culinary arts is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of relevant role in retail or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of various baking techniques and methods.
- Familiarity with various health and safety regulations in a food service setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Creativity and passion for baking.
- Must reside within close proximity to Festac, Mile 2, Okota, Amuwo axis.
