Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure backend services and APIs for web and mobile applications
• Restructure and optimize existing codebase to enhance application functionality and performance
• Collaborate closely with frontend, mobile, UI/UX, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration and exceptional user experiences
• Implement and manage database solutions (MySQL/PostgreSQL) on cloud platforms (AWS)
• Integrate third-party APIs for critical functionalities including payments, identity verification, and communication
• Ensure all backend systems adhere to strict security protocols and regulatory compliance standards (NDPR, CBN fintech regulations)
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and foster a culture of technical excellence
• Develop comprehensive documentation for code, APIs, and system designs

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proficiency in PHP, specifically Laravel
• Strong expertise in Laravel framework
• Experience with SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Hands-on experience with cloud hosting platforms (AWS)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
