Aviation Dispatcher II at Nautilus Nigeria Engineering and Construction Limited

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated professional to join our aviation operations team. In this role, you will perform day-to-day aviation dispatch and passenger pre-flight services for inbound and outbound operations (fixed wing and helicopter) to ensure seamless transitions for passengers and freight. You will work with moderate direction and bring skilled, knowledgeable expertise to the position.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Obtain weather reports for the station of departure, destination, and alternative routes before scheduled departure time
• Obtain the daily manifest through the Personnel Tracking System (PTS)
• Check-in passengers and their luggage according to priority and manifest numbers
• Perform passenger identification per Company requirements
• Complete indemnity forms for required passengers
• Allocate boarding passes to checked-in passengers
• Prepare out-flown manifests, weight and balance sheets for flights
• Complete weather dispatch forms
• Brief pilots when check-in is complete and the aircraft is ready to depart
• Collect aircraft traffic from the radio room to set the flight running through PTS
• End incoming flights through PTS
• File all flown manifests
• Receive and dispatch aircraft
• Send PTS Aviation reports

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in a closely related aviation position
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience acceptable to the Company
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to make sound and rapid decisions concerning safety, flight regulations, and operational economy
• Broad knowledge of aviation operations
