Aviation Dispatcher I - Junior Role

Position Overview

Perform day-to-day aviation dispatch and passenger pre-flight services for inbound and outbound fixed-wing and helicopter operations. Ensure seamless transition for passengers and freight. This position will receive support and direction from senior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain weather reports for departure station, destination, and alternative routes before scheduled departure time
• Obtain daily manifest through the Personnel Tracking System (PTS)
• Check in passengers and their luggage according to priority and manifest numbers
• Perform passenger identification per company requirements
• Complete indemnity forms for required passengers
• Allocate boarding passes to checked-in passengers
• Prepare out-flight manifest, weight and balance sheet for each flight
• Complete weather dispatch forms
• Brief pilots when check-in is complete and aircraft is ready to depart
• Collect aircraft traffic from radio room and input flight data into PTS
• End incoming flights through PTS
• File all flown manifests
• Receive and dispatch aircraft
• Send PTS aviation reports

Requirements

• Previous experience in a closely related position
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience acceptable to the company
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to make sound and rapid decisions concerning safety, flight regulations, and operational efficiency
• Broad knowledge of aviation operations
