Automation Technician at UNOCASA Limited

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Automation Technician with strong technical expertise in automation and process control systems. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in maintaining and improving plant automation, ensuring seamless production operations within the FMCG/Pharmaceutical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee automation and electrical engineering processes
• Develop automation solutions (hardware/software)
• Configure, test, and maintain PLC & SCADA systems
• Implement and maintain rigorous quality and safety standards
• Monitor machine operational parameters and ensure GMP compliance
• Collaborate with QC/QA and production teams in validation and qualification of processes and equipment
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
• Handle SAP administration, procurement, and departmental documentation
• Support QMS & cGMP implementation, audits, and compliance
• Provide support during internal and external audits and inspections

Education & Experience

• Certification in Automation / ND / HND / B.Sc. Degree (Electrical / Electronics or related field)
• 3 – 5 years' practical experience in automation/electrical supervisory roles
• Knowledge of Simatic7, ABB, Mitsubishi FX, DCS/PLC/SCADA systems
• Understanding of networking and field bus systems (Profibus, Control-Net, Device-Net, etc.)
• Strong computer skills (MS Office & data analysis tools)
• Excellent communication and project management skills
