Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of audit engagements from planning through reporting
• Review audit work-papers and documentation prepared by junior staff to ensure accuracy, compliance, and clarity
• Ensure that all audit work complies with established auditing standards and internal guidelines, and is completed within allocated time-frames
• Identify control deficiencies, accounting issues, and risks during the audit and develop recommendations for improvement
• Execute audit tests on high-risk or complex areas and analyze financial data for accuracy and irregularities
• Supervise and develop audit team members
• Maintain regular communication and manage client relationships
• Carry out technical and administrative tasks
• Perform other related duties as determined by management

Required Qualifications

• BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Professional certification such as ACA or ACCA
• 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in an auditing role, including experience leading audit fieldwork in an external audit environment

Technical Skills

• Deep knowledge of auditing methodologies and standards (IFRS, GAAP)
• Knowledge of risk management practices
• Proficiency with auditing software (e.g., Caseware, TeamMate)
• Data analysis tools such as Excel and Power BI
• Experience with relevant accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle)
