About the Role

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Associate Well Engineer at Benel Energy Resources Limited in Lagos, Nigeria.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning and design of well operations, including drilling, completion, and workover activities
• Support the execution of well operations by coordinating with drilling contractors, service providers, and other stakeholders
• Conduct technical evaluations and provide recommendations for well design optimization and cost efficiency
• Assist in the preparation of well programs, including detailed drilling and completion procedures, equipment selection, and material specifications
• Monitor and analyze well performance, including production rates, pressure data, and fluid characteristics
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and geoscientists to optimize well placement and reservoir drainage strategies
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and environmental standards during well operations
• Identify and implement best practices and lessons learned to continuously improve well engineering processes and procedures
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date well engineering documentation, including well files, reports, and data analysis
• Stay updated with industry advancements and technological innovations related to well engineering

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related field
• Solid understanding of well engineering principles and practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in relevant well engineering software and tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory and industry standards
• High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in well engineering or related roles
