About the Role

The Assistant Manager/Officer, Power Plant (Electrical) will be responsible for overseeing daily shift operations and ensuring optimal performance of the power plant's electrical systems and equipment. This position requires strong technical competence, hands-on maintenance skills, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently operate and manage daily shift activities of the substation, including overhaul, repair, and troubleshooting of Bergen or Wartsila engines and associated utilities
• Conduct operation and maintenance of transformers, VCBs, and ACBs
• Provide technical expertise for electrical equipment including transformers, generators, motors, relays, and cables
• Operate and troubleshoot DOL starters, star-delta starters, and VFD systems
• Manage and troubleshoot PCC and MCC systems
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all critical equipment as per OEM guidelines, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with ISO standards
• Perform maintenance and repair of all instruments, PLC control systems, and LV, MV, and HV switchgears
• Carry out maintenance and operations of all electrical equipment within the Wartsila power plant and associated facilities
• Utilize computer applications effectively for reporting, monitoring, and documentation
