Assistant I.T Officer

Position Overview

Join Bedmate Furniture as an IT Support Assistant in Lagos. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your IT support skills while contributing to the smooth operations of a leading organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide basic troubleshooting for desktops, laptops, printers, emails, and account/password issues
• Register new staff on attendance machines, email accounts, and required software; maintain detailed records of logins and assets
• Report serious issues to the main IT person and assist with updates, backups, and routine maintenance tasks
• Create simple guides for common problems and their resolutions, including screenshots where applicable
• Maintain updated documentation of devices, software licenses, and admin logins in secure files to ensure knowledge is shared across the IT team
• Support the main IT staff on projects to build expertise and provide backup coverage
• Assist with design, captions, copy, and content creation for social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Ensure consistent posting of promotions, new products, announcements, and events according to a weekly content plan
• Edit images and short videos suitable for social media while maintaining brand style and color consistency
• Respond to customer inquiries or route them appropriately to sales, after-sales, or management teams; document common questions and complaints
• Monitor basic analytics (reach, likes, saves, clicks, followers) and prepare simple weekly or monthly reports
• Analyze post performance and propose content ideas and small campaigns to increase engagement and followers

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Proven experience in IT support or administration
• Strong technical knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and macOS
• Knowledge of network protocols, security principles, and best practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy
