About the Role
Bell Oil & Gas is seeking a qualified Assistant Business Development Manager to support the General Manager of Business Development & Strategic Contracts. In this role, you will help drive the company's growth objectives while supervising Business Development Executives (BDEs) to ensure adherence to business development processes and achievement of unit goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate sound knowledge of the company's business strategy and ensure its implementation across the team
- Identify and exploit opportunities to sell company services and products
- Coach Business Development Executives (BDEs) on company offerings and help them develop professional competencies
- Build comprehensive customer profiles by identifying immediate and long-term goals
- Collate client-specific intelligence and develop strategies for effective customer engagement
- Generate Requests for Quotation (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (PO) on assigned accounts and ensure BDEs do the same
- Effectively manage assigned accounts to ensure sales targets are achieved and supervise BDEs to meet their targets
- Prospect for and acquire new, financially viable, high-volume customers
- Identify and recommend appropriate technical assistance for key customers
- Ensure full payment for all supplies and services rendered
- Reconcile customer accounts and maintain proper documentation
- Define customer relationship strategies and create Customer Relationship Plans by customer group
- Provide regular updates on account plans, progress, and business intelligence
- Demonstrate consistent business development success and target-driven achievement
- Assist in tender preparation where necessary
- Monitor and respond to threats to business objectives
