About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual for this Accounts Receivable Officer position in Lagos, Nigeria.

Main Responsibilities

• Communicate with clients regarding billing and manage credit with collections via phone, email, or physical meetings
• Handle monthly statements and send to clients; maintain accounts receivable invoice records
• Post and update payments daily on billing software and Zoho Books
• Raise invoices and recognize WHT receivable for all customers
• Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts, coordinating monthly transfers to accounts receivable, and preparing reports
• Receive cheques on behalf of the company from clients
• Follow up and drive revenue for DIA clients
• Filter unpaid balances on the 25th, 28th, 30th/31st and send to Customer Support for payment reminders
• Filter unpaid balances on the 4th of the month and send list to Sales & Vendor Management Department for follow up
• Execute upgrade/downgrade requests from customers
• Verify total monthly sales and compare with amounts on proforma invoices sent
• Monitor client account details for non-payment, delayed payment, and other irregularities
• Develop debt recovery systems and initiate collection efforts
• Recommend service suspension for non-payment clients
• Investigate and resolve client/vendor queries or discrepancies on billing and payments
• Track new client connections using job completion certificates
• Compile and render weekly Accounts Receivable (AR) reports

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a reputable higher institution
• Currently undergoing ICAN certification
• Data entry skills
• Knowledge of financial software and MS Office Suite
• Attention to detail and thoroughness
• Analytical mind with ability to drive revenue collection efficiently
• Sense of urgency and tenacity
