About the Role

A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent to join as an Accounts Officer.

Responsibilities

• Manage general bookkeeping and ensure all financial transactions are captured accurately through the company's accounting software
• Conduct periodic and prompt reconciliations with bankers, debtors, and creditors
• Monitor account statements regularly to ensure they tally with company records
• Maintain zero tolerance for discrepancies and ensure prompt recovery of excess charges

Required Qualifications

• First Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-3 years of proven accounting work experience in a company
• Must be less than 35 years of age
• Must reside in or be able to procure accommodation in Awkuzu

Key Skills and Competencies

• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or industry-specific software)
• Strong Excel proficiency
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to improve business performance
• Ability to develop and implement cost-saving measures
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex financial information clearly to stakeholders
• Business acumen
