About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our healthcare organization in Ilupeju, Lagos. The ideal candidate will have solid accounting knowledge and relevant experience in the healthcare or hospital industry, with the ability to manage financial operations efficiently and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Compensation

₦200,000 – ₦350,000 (Monthly)

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
• Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash operations
• Handle billing, invoicing, and payment collections for patients and healthcare services
• Process payroll and ensure statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, NHF, NHIS) are correctly remitted
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
• Monitor internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets
• Support management with financial analysis to aid decision-making
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, hospital policies, and relevant financial regulations

Requirements

• B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 2–4 years of accounting experience, preferably within the healthcare sector (hospital, clinic, or medical laboratory)
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho Books
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• High level of integrity and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Membership or student membership of ICAN or ANAN (advantageous)
