About the Role

Vopnucity Nigeria Limited is seeking a qualified Accountant to join our team in Abijo, Lagos. This position requires a professional with strong accounting expertise and a commitment to financial accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and post all daily financial transactions accurately
• Maintain general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare and file all statutory tax returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, etc.) in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records
• Support external audit processes and respond to auditor queries
• Monitor cash flow and support management with financial insights
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Professional qualification (ICAN/ACCA) is required
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a trading company

Required Skills and Competencies

• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and standards
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and statutory filing processes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong time-management abilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
