Job Summary

We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Accountant. You will oversee the day-to-day execution of general ledger-impacted processes, including support to clients and departments as they work with and understand these processes. You will direct accounting functions and supervise Finance and Accounting employees across general ledgers, subsidiary ledgers, and related reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Managing Work, Projects, and Policies

• Coordinate and implement accounting work and projects as assigned
• Coordinate, implement, and follow up on Accounting Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) audits for all areas of the property
• Comply with Federal and State laws applying to fraud and collection procedures
• Generate and provide accurate and timely reports, presentations, and results
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solutions and solve problems
• Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, and verify information and data
• Balance credit card ledgers
• Verify contracts for groups and perform credit reference checks for direct billed groups as necessary

Maintaining Finance and Accounting Goals

• Achieve and exceed performance goals, budget goals, and team goals
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work
• Submit reports in a timely manner, ensuring delivery deadlines are met
• Ensure profits and losses are documented accurately
• Monitor all applicable taxes, ensuring they are current, collected, and/or accrued
• Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets
• Complete period-end functions each period
• Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies, procedures, and efficient control and utilization
