Accountant at The Olive Prime Psychological Services

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join The Olive Prime Psychological Services team at our Tourmaline Centre in Lekki, Lagos. In this crucial role, you will manage the day-to-day finance and accounts operations of our mental health and drug rehabilitation facility.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Oversee and manage all accounting functions within the facility, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial records
• Maintain and reconcile petty cash, prepare daily and weekly reports, and ensure proper documentation for all expenditures
• Generate and send weekly billing emails to clients and ensure prompt payments in line with the zero-debt policy
• Manage inpatient billing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely invoicing
• Handle budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring all expenditures align with approved budgets
• Prepare and submit discount reports and other financial summaries as required

Financial Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare and submit accurate monthly financial statements, cash flow summaries, and management reports
• Monitor revenues and expenditures to identify variances and ensure spending aligns with operational targets
• Conduct periodic reconciliations of bank, vendor, and client accounts
• Support forecasting and provide financial insights to aid decision-making

Accounting Operations (QuickBooks)

• Ensure 100% use of QuickBooks for all financial transactions and reporting
• Record all payments, receipts, invoices, and journal entries accurately
• Generate reports directly from QuickBooks for internal and management use
• Maintain proper audit trails and ensure all financial data is up to date and accurate

Cost and Compliance Oversight

• Ensure all spending is within approved budgets and in compliance with financial policies
• Verify repairs and maintenance expenditures
