Overview

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements and reports, managing tax returns, and overseeing audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. You will also analyse financial data to provide guidance on budgets, cost reduction, and profit maximization, while managing accounts payable and receivable.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and present financial statements, including balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements
• Prepare and file tax returns, and provide tax planning services in accordance with current legislation
• Conduct internal audits, cooperate with external auditors, and ensure all financial records comply with government regulations and accounting standards
• Analyse financial data to assist with budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and risk analysis, and recommend actions to improve revenue and profitability
• Document and maintain accurate financial transactions, including processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements
• Develop, review, and manage budgets for the organization
• Provide financial advice to management on business decisions
• Oversee the payroll process and ensure accurate expense tracking

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

• B.Sc/HND in Accounting or Business Administration

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software (such as Busy Accounting Software or similar platforms)
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong understanding of accounting principles

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify solutions
• Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly to stakeholders
