We invite applications from suitably qualified candidates. Position Overview:
  • The Junior Accountant will support the accounting team in maintaining accurate financial records for the firm’s clients.
  • The role involves assisting with bookkeeping, preparation of financial statements, tax documentation, reconciliations, and routine accounting tasks while ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and statutory requirements.
  • This position is ideal for a graduate of Accounting seeking hands-on experience and professional growth within an accounting firm.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records for assigned clients
  • Perform basic bookkeeping functions, including data entry and posting of transactions
  • Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and ledger reviews
  • Support tax computations and preparation of statutory returns (e.g., PAYE, VAT, WHT) under supervision
  • Assist in payroll processing, including salary calculations and statutory deductions
  • Support audit exercises by preparing schedules, vouchers, and documentation
  • Help monitor accounts payable and receivable
  • Assist with cash flow tracking and basic financial analysis
  • Use accounting software and spreadsheets to ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Maintain proper filing of financial records and supporting documents
  • Ensure confidentiality and integrity of clients’ financial information
  • Carry out other accounting-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications: & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 2–5years’ relevant experience in an accounting firm or similar environment
  • Basic understanding of Nigerian tax regulations and accounting principles
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks) is an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools
  • Good numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines

Salary N150,000 - N180,000 Per Month.
