This vacancy presents a chance to join a leading organization. Position Overview The Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the financial operations of the real estate construction business. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial management systems to ensure accurate reporting and effective cost control. Key Responsibilities: Financial Record Keeping
  • Maintain accurate books of accounts, ledgers, and journals.
  • Record daily financial transactions including sales, purchases, payroll, and expenses.
  • Ensure timely posting of entries in compliance with accounting standards.
Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets for construction activities.
  • Track construction costs, material purchases, and subcontractor payments.
  • Identify variances between actual and budgeted expenditures and recommend corrective actions.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Process vendor invoices, payments, and reconcile supplier accounts.
  • Manage receivables from clients, tenants, and property buyers.
  • Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
Financial Reporting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Generate project-specific financial reports for management review.
  • Support external audits and provide necessary documentation.
Taxation & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and file VAT, PAYE, and corporate tax returns.
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities and auditors when required.
Payroll Administration
  • Process staff salaries, allowances, and deductions.
  • Maintain accurate employee payroll records.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory contributions (e.g., pension, health insurance).
Cash Flow Management
  • Monitor cash inflows and outflows to maintain liquidity.
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Advise management on financial planning and investment decisions.
Required Qualifications: & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) preferred.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in real estate or construction.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, SAP).
