Position Overview:
We\'re looking for a high-performing professional Accountant to join our fast-paced FMCG team! To implement, design and manage a robust, end-to-end accounting system that ensures financial accuracy, transparency, and accountability across all business units — including procurement, warehousing, field sales, and e-commerce operations under MyKiaKia.com. The ideal candidate must possess strong analytical and process-driven capabilities, with proven experience establishing accounting controls and digital automation in FMCG or e-commerce environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate books of account, ensuring all transactions (cash, POS, and online) are reconciled daily.
- Prepare and submit weekly cashflow, expense, and profit reports by Monday, 10 a.m.
- Generate monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow).
- Verify the accuracy of sales and inventory records with the warehouse and sales teams.
- Develop, document, and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for petty cash, supplier payments, staff advances, expense approvals, and bank reconciliations.
- Establish a multi-level approval workflow to prevent unauthorized disbursements.
- Maintain complete documentation for audit readiness and compliance. Conduct variance analyses to detect and address potential fraud, wastage, or cash leakage.
- Implement control mechanisms to safeguard company assets and ensure operational efficiency.
- Ensure all transactions, invoices, and expenses are digitized and properly archived.
- Integrate financial systems with sales and inventory platforms for real-time reconciliation.
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- ICAN or ACCA certification (preferred).
- 2–4 years of experience in FMCG, retail, or e-commerce accounting.
- Proven record in process design, financial automation, and internal controls.
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar ERP platforms.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and reconciliation capabilities.
- High attention to detail and integrity.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
