Job Summary

An established company is seeking a Finance and Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate will manage accounts receivable and payable, journal entries, financial technology systems, and related administrative tasks. This role ensures timely reconciliation and reporting of financial statements, prepares financial analyses for leadership, and maintains fiscal records. The Manager serves as the primary contact for internal staff regarding invoicing, bill payments, cash receipts, revenue, and budgets, while implementing and training staff on software solutions that streamline processes and improve financial information accessibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable, cash receipts, accounts receivable, and payroll are recorded properly
• Perform timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (net assets, investments, revenue, expenses, payroll allocations, etc.), ensuring accounting schedules are updated and accurate
• Ensure proper revenue and expense recognition
• Monitor cash and investment balances and perform cash flow forecasting
• Ensure all finance and accounting operations comply with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and federal and state laws and regulations
• Assist in developing and monitoring departmental, project, and organizational budgets; support monthly financial reporting needs
• Perform fiscal year-end close activities and assist with external auditor requirements and activities
• Communicate regularly with the Head of Finance
• Continually identify and implement opportunities to streamline and improve finance and accounting operations through technology
• Train staff on financial systems and software to enhance process efficiency
