Account / Finance Officer at Demyhealth Clinic and Genomic Medicine (DCGM)

Position Overview

The Accounts and Finance Officer will manage financial transactions, inventory accuracy, and reporting while ensuring financial integrity and compliance with accounting standards. This role combines financial management with inventory oversight and includes support for marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

• Record all financial transactions accurately in the accounting system
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger
• Reconcile bank statements and other accounts
• Prepare staff salaries and manage payroll
• Prepare and analyse month-end and year-end financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP) and company policies

Inventory Management

• Track and manage the company's inventory, including maintaining inventory records
• Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile inventory records to actual counts
• Ensure inventory levels are accurate by identifying and correcting inventory errors
• Recommend inventory levels based on sales forecasts and demand analysis
• Analyse inventory trends and prepare reports on inventory levels, costs, and variances
• Develop and maintain inventory control systems
• Assist in inventory audits

Internal Controls and Risk Management

• Implement and oversee procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain accuracy of financial information
• Enhance systems for reporting, reconciling, and auditing inventory to prevent discrepancies and fraud
• Report all identified risks and exposures
• Identify and recommend additional controls based on identified risks and exposures
• Collaborate with other departments to improve inventory management and financial processes
