## Title: Account and Administrative Officer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as an Account/Admin Officer. This role combines accounting and administrative functions, requiring the successful candidate to handle the company's day-to-day accounting operations while providing comprehensive administrative support to ensure smooth office operations.

The position demands accuracy, confidentiality, and strong organizational skills in managing financial records, payments, and administrative tasks.

Accounting Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and accounting books
  • Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers
  • Handle daily cash, bank transactions, and reconciliations
  • Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare basic financial reports (income, expenses, cash flow)
  • Support payroll preparation and staff expense reimbursements
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning activities
  • Support statutory compliance (tax, pension, PAYE, etc.)

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Manage office documentation, records, and correspondence
  • Provide general administrative support to management and staff
  • Coordinate office supplies and ensure smooth daily operations
  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and maintain calendars
  • Assist with staff onboarding documentation and record keeping
  • Handle internal and external communications professionally

Key Performance Indicators

  • Accuracy and timeliness of financial records
  • Compliance with accounting and administrative procedures
  • Timely processing of payments and invoices
  • Efficiency of office operations and documentation
  • Quality of administrative support provided

Education Requirements

  • HND or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Professional certifications (ICAN, ACCA – in view or completed) are an added advantage

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–3 years' experience in accounting or a related field
