Yoruba Language Teacher at Dansol Christian Mission

Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Yoruba Language Teacher located in Lagos. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Yoruba language lessons, developing teaching resources, and fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of Yoruba language and culture among students.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver comprehensive lesson plans covering grammar, literature, and oral proficiency
• Develop engaging teaching resources and materials
• Assess student performance and support their overall academic development
• Foster a deep understanding and appreciation of Yoruba language and culture
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of education aligned with Dansol Christian Mission's core values
• Maintain effective classroom management and create an inclusive, respectful learning environment

Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Yoruba Language Teaching
• Background in Education and Yoruba Literature (essential)
• Proven experience in lesson planning and teaching
• Effective classroom management skills
• Ability to engage students and foster an inclusive, respectful learning environment
• Strong communication skills
• Passion for language education
