Upholstery Supervisor at LD&D Consulting

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Upholstery Supervisor to join our team at our factory location in Mile 12, Lagos. The ideal candidate will oversee all upholstery operations including cutting, sewing, assembly, and finishing while ensuring that all furniture pieces meet our premium quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and attention to detail to maintain efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of all production tasks.

• Monthly Salary: ₦200,000

Main Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily upholstery operations and team activities
• Ensure all upholstery work meets design specifications and quality standards
• Monitor fabric and material usage to minimize waste and control costs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment within the upholstery unit
• Improve techniques in sewing, cutting, tacking, pleating, and other upholstery processes
• Collaborate with other production units to ensure seamless workflow
• Train and mentor upholstery artisans to enhance skill levels and productivity
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on sewing and upholstery equipment

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in furniture upholstery, including at least 18 months in a supervisory role
• Strong technical knowledge of fabrics, foams, sewing, and finishing methods
• Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills
• Proven ability to maintain quality control and meet production deadlines
• Experience working in a structured or organized furniture manufacturing environment (advantageous)
