Upholstery Production Supervisor

An established company is recruiting for the following position. Reports To: Factory Manager / Production Manager Supervises: Upholsterers, Foam Cutters, Sewing Staff, Fabric Handlers Job Purpose To oversee upholstery operations, ensuring all padded furniture meets comfort, finishing, aesthetic, and durability standards, while achieving daily production targets. Key Responsibilities: - Allocate upholstery tasks per item and workstation - Ensure correct foam density, thickness, and layering - Monitor fabric alignment, stitching quality, and tension - Enforce approved fabric usage and minimize wastage - Ensure consistent finishing across identical units - Inspect items before they move to spray or final assembly - Address defects such as sagging, wrinkles, loose seams - Train upholsterers on standard finishing techniques - Maintain cleanliness and organization of upholstery area KPIs - Upholstery defect rate - Foam and fabric wastage levels - Units completed per shift - Customer returns related to comfort or finish - Rework turnaround time Required Skills & Experience - 5–7 years upholstery experience - Strong eye for detail and symmetry - Knowledge of foam grades and fabric behavior - Team supervision experience
