Transport Officer at Mikano

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic Transport Officer to join our expanding team. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the movement of company vehicles, drivers, and goods to ensure timely, safe, and cost-effective transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily transportation schedules for deliveries and pickups
• Assign vehicles and drivers based on delivery requirements and route efficiency
• Monitor vehicle movements and ensure adherence to delivery timelines
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws, company transport policies, and safety regulations
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, fuel consumption, mileage, and maintenance
• Coordinate routine vehicle servicing, repairs, and inspections
• Manage driver attendance, conduct briefings, and enforce discipline and safety standards
• Investigate and report accidents, breakdowns, or delays promptly
• Liaise with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth logistics flow
• Optimize transport costs through efficient route planning and fuel management

Requirements & Qualifications

• BSc / HND / OND in Logistics, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years experience in transport or logistics operations
• Good knowledge of fleet management and road safety regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic logistics software
