About the job   - The Translator (Nigerian/Chinese) is responsible for enabling seamless communication across SANY NIGERIA's entire operational spectrum, from technical training to high-level commercial negotiations. The core mandate is to ensure the clear, timely, and compliant exchange of critical information through expert simultaneous and consecutive interpretation and the accurate translation of all documentation. Key Responsibilities - Interpretation: Provide accurate simultaneous and consecutive interpretation for meetings, operations, and client interactions (Chinese - English). - Translation: Translate diverse company documents (correspondence, contracts, and basic technical manuals) with grammatical and technical precision. - Communication: Facilitate effective daily communication between Chinese and Nigerian staff on-site and in the office. - Administrative Support: Assist in drafting, proofreading, and maintaining bilingual records. - Compliance & Culture: Provide limited cultural/administrative support to expatriates and maintain strict confidentiality of all information. Requirements & Qualifications Language Proficiency: - Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken). HSK Level 3 or 5 preferred. - Native-level fluency in English (written and spoken), with a strong grasp of Nigerian business context. Experience: - Minimum of 3 years professional experience in translation/interpretation. - Prior experience in the Manufacturing, Construction, or Heavy Equipment sector is highly advantageous. - Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking abilities. - High attention to detail and strong organizational skills for administrative tasks. - Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Linguistics, or a relevant field.
