Key Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trailers safely and efficiently across Nigerian routes
• Inspect vehicles daily before trips to ensure roadworthiness, proper documentation, and compliance with company safety standards
• Maintain accurate delivery records, waybills, and logbooks as required
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws, federal/state road regulations, and company driving policies
• Report mechanical issues, accidents, or incidents immediately to the operations supervisor
• Adhere strictly to delivery schedules while prioritizing safety
• Conduct routine maintenance checks such as oil, water, and tyre inspections
• Handle minor vehicle repairs or emergencies when necessary

Requirements

• Valid Class G driver's license issued in Nigeria
• Minimum of 5 years' experience driving heavy-duty trailers/trucks
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian road networks, traffic laws, and safety regulations
• Ability to complete long-distance hauls with alertness and discipline
• Proven track record of safe driving with minimal accident history
• Basic mechanical knowledge to handle minor vehicle repairs or emergencies
• Good communication skills
• Physically fit and capable of handling the demands of long driving hours
• Integrity, reliability, and strong attention to detail
