Technical Services / Sales Engineer - Chemical

Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Services/Sales Engineer to develop and maintain strong business relationships with clients in the oil and gas industry. The ideal candidate will identify new business opportunities, provide technical solutions, and ensure the successful delivery of chemical products and services that meet client needs and production objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting business relationships with clients across major IOCs, independent producers, and service companies
• Identify new business opportunities for production chemicals to achieve revenue targets
• Deliver chemical solutions and technical support in line with clients' operational needs
• Conduct field trials to evaluate chemical performance, effectiveness, and compatibility in oilfield systems
• Collaborate with internal R&D teams to develop new product formulations when required
• Serve as the lead point of contact for clients, coordinating technical issue resolution and service support
• Manage multiple client accounts, ensuring timely service delivery and fulfillment of commitments
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer surveys to identify growth opportunities
• Support the implementation of sales and marketing strategies to expand business reach
• Liaise with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of projects and service delivery

Required Qualifications

• B.Sc., B.Eng., or HND in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or related field (minimum of Second Class Upper/Upper Credit)
• 3–6 years of experience in technical sales, production chemistry, or oilfield chemicals within the oil and gas industry
• Strong technical knowledge of oilfield chemicals and production technology

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
• Relevant professional certifications in oilfield chemicals or production technology
