Role Overview

The Technical Operator will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure optimal performance and product quality. The role requires sound technical knowledge, strong attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machines and equipment efficiently and safely
• Carry out basic maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs when required
• Report machine faults, abnormalities, and maintenance needs promptly
• Support preventive maintenance activities as directed by the Engineering team
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of machines and the production area
• Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve production targets
• Ensure compliance with quality and hygiene standards during production

Required Qualifications and Experience

• OND, HND, or Technical Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, or Production Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years' hands-on experience as a Technical or Machine Operator in a food manufacturing or agro-processing environment
• Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to detect and correct minor faults
• Familiarity with safety procedures, machine calibration, and preventive maintenance
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines
• Good communication and teamwork skills
