Technical Engineer – Elevators & Escalator at Natafamdaivid Consulting Nig. Ltd

An established company is recruiting for the following position. Responsibilities - Oversee all engineering functions including installation, testing & commissioning, modernization, and preventive/reactive maintenance. - Develop and enforce engineering policies, technical standards, and operating procedures. - Provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. - Lead technical evaluation of new product lines, equipment, and suppliers. - Manage end-to-end installation projects including design reviews, site assessments, and project scheduling. - Facilitate resolution of on-site technical issues and ensure proper documentation. - Oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and increase equipment lifespan. - Ensure prompt technical response to breakdowns and service emergencies. - Track and improve technical KPIs such as call-back rate, uptime, and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR). - Ensure all installations and maintenance activities comply with elevator safety codes, statutory standards, and manufacturer requirements. - Champion a strong safety culture and conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, and training. - Maintain all technical certifications, inspection records, and regulatory compliance documentation.
