## Title: Technical Advisor, Digital Health (SORMAS)
About the Role
A dynamic team is expanding and looking for the right talent. As Technical Advisor, you will support the implementation of digital surveillance and pandemic preparedness activities, with a focus on strengthening the implementation of the Surveillance Outbreak Response Management and Analysis System (SORMAS) in Nigeria and across West Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Coordination
- Provide technical leadership and coordination for SORMAS and other digital health-related activities in Nigeria and the Gambia
- Work in close collaboration with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (NCDC), Gambia Ministry of Health (MOH), RCSDC, SORMAS Foundation, and other relevant partners
- Liaise closely with NCDC, Gambia MOH, RCSDC, and GHS counterparts to harmonize priorities, ensure technical coherence, and align with broader interventions
Project Management & Implementation
- Oversee project management and coordination of technical assistance, consultancies, and implementation grants to national and regional partners
- Coordinate the planning, implementation, and follow-up of SORMAS and other digital health-related activities in Nigeria and at the ECOWAS level
- Oversee and manage technical and financial aspects of project execution
Digital Health Governance & Sustainability
- Support the national and regional digital health governance and sustainability agenda, including SORMAS institutionalization
- Facilitate interoperability with DHIS2 and alignment with national digital health strategies
- Advise partners on digital health implementation, policy, and system strengthening, ensuring alignment with One Health and pandemic preparedness objectives
Knowledge Exchange & Learning
- Facilitate South–South cooperation and knowledge exchange through the SORMAS Community of Practice (CoP) and other regional mechanisms
- Support monitoring, learning, and communication for digital health outputs, including documentation of good practices and technical lessons
- Coordinate regional outcomes and ensure effective communication across stakeholders
