## Title: Storekeeper

About the Role

A reputable organization seeks a dedicated individual to manage warehouse operations and inventory control. The Storekeeper will oversee all aspects of stock management, from receiving goods to maintaining accurate records and ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare purchase orders and manage the receiving, storing, and issuing of goods
  • Manage stock levels and distribute supplies from inventory
  • Prepare and maintain inventory records using computerized systems
  • Verify supply invoices against purchase orders
  • Prepare reports on inventory adjustments, including damaged or spoilt items
  • Coordinate purchasing, inventory, and warehousing functions
  • Source suppliers and obtain quotes for supplies
  • Manage disposal of surplus or obsolete stock
  • Maintain detailed records of all receipts and issuances to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Reconcile physical stock with system records on a regular basis
  • Organize goods in the warehouse according to stock location systems for easy storage and retrieval
  • Ensure physical protection of stock within the warehouse
  • Conduct periodic stock-taking and confirm stock levels regularly with designated staff
  • Supervise offloading, arrangement, and organization of merchandise and consignments
  • Ensure correct and timely inventory valuation
  • Direct and manage procedures related to offloading, packing, and unpacking
  • Monitor stock movement in and out of the warehouse
  • Prepare weekly warehouse activity reports including consignments received and quantities
