Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electronics Assembler and Soldering Technician to join our team at Proforce Limited. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and testing electronic components and circuit boards according to established procedures and quality standards. Your expertise in soldering techniques and understanding of electronic components will be essential for ensuring the production of high-quality and reliable drone electronics.
Key Responsibilities
- Soldering: Perform precision soldering of through-hole and surface mount components (SMD) on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using soldering irons, hot air rework stations, and other related equipment
- Assembly: Assemble electronic components, wire harnesses, and sub-assemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and written instructions
- Inspection: Inspect completed assemblies and soldered joints for defects, ensuring adherence to quality standards and specifications
- Rework & Repair: Identify and repair soldering defects, such as cold joints, solder bridges, and lifted pads
- Component Identification: Accurately identify electronic components, including resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, and integrated circuits, based on their markings and package styles
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including component placement, modifications, and repairs
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of soldering equipment and other tools
- Problem Solving: Troubleshoot assembly and soldering issues and propose solutions to improve efficiency and quality
- Inventory Management: Assist with maintaining adequate inventory of components and soldering supplies
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvement initiatives
