Position Overview
Join a leading organization as a Solar and Inverter Engineer in Nigeria. In this role, you will design, install, maintain, and repair solar PV systems and inverter/battery setups for residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Your focus will be on ensuring reliable off-grid and hybrid power solutions by managing components such as solar panels, charge controllers, batteries (tubular and lithium), and inverters. You will troubleshoot system faults, perform site surveys, size systems to meet client needs, train users, and ensure all safety protocols are met.
Core Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning: Install solar panels, mounting structures, wiring, inverters, batteries, and related electrical components, then test systems to ensure proper function.
- Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose faults, repair faulty inverters, UPS systems, and batteries (AGM, Lithium, Tubular), perform routine servicing, and conduct preventive maintenance.
- System Design & Sizing: Conduct site assessments, design efficient solar layouts, size components (panels, batteries, inverters) based on specific energy needs, and create system schematics.
- Technical Support & Training: Provide expert advice to clients, answer technical questions, and train users on system operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Performance Monitoring: Use energy meters and clamp meters to test system performance, analyze energy production, and optimize system efficiency.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety standards (including proper breaker installation), identify potential hazards, and ensure systems comply with electrical codes.
- Documentation & Reporting: Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and installations, and report on common issues and potential system improvements.
