Software Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities: - Create and maintain test plans and test cases based on software requirements. - Execute test cases, log and track defects, and produce detailed test reports. - Prepare and maintain project and product-related test documentation. - Assist with code and documentation configuration management. - Perform functional, system integration, and regression testing across web and mobile applications. - Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and operations teams to ensure quality delivery. - Participate in requirement reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies. - Provide regular test status updates and highlight quality risks to stakeholders. Requirements: - Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 2+ years of software testing experience. - Familiarity with common testing methodologies, testing tools, and defect tracking systems. - Ability to perform functional testing and system integration testing; experience with performance or stress testing is a plus. - Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., SVN). - Understanding of software engineering principles and testing processes; system or acceptance testing experience is an advantage. - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. - Hands-on experience with manual testing; exposure to automation testing is an added advantage. - Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Selenium, Postman, or JMeter (or similar tools). - Basic knowledge of API testing and SQL queries is an advantage.
