About the Role

This position offers a great opportunity for career growth. The Site Engineer will provide technical expertise in the planning, coordination, and supervision of construction projects. You will establish level and survey control for contracts and set out detailed works according to contract drawings, while ensuring regular quality checks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage portions of construction projects from technical perspective
• Act as the main technical adviser on site for subcontractors, craftspeople, and operatives
• Set out, level, and survey the site
• Check plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations
• Ensure all materials used and work performed meet specifications
• Oversee the selection and requisition of materials and plant
• Agree on material prices and develop cost-effective solutions and proposals
• Manage, monitor, and interpret contract design documents supplied by clients or architects
• Liaison with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors, and the general workforce
• Coordinate with quantity surveyors on material ordering and price negotiation
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sustainability policies and legislation on site
• Liaison with local authorities to ensure compliance with construction regulations and by-laws
• Communicate with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers, and surveyors) through regular progress meetings
• Manage day-to-day site operations, including supervision of site labor and subcontractor work
• Plan work and efficiently organize plant and site facilities to meet agreed deadlines
• Prepare site reports and documentation
