Shift In-Charge - Electrical at African Industries Group (AIG)

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shift In-Charge - Electrical to lead and supervise power plant operations during assigned shifts. You will ensure reliable and efficient power generation while maintaining compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all plant operations during assigned shifts
• Ensure continuous and safe operation of TG/Boiler units
• Plan and execute operational strategies during normal and abnormal conditions
• Coordinate with maintenance and other departments to ensure smooth plant performance
• Approve switching and isolation procedures
• Review shift logs, issue daily reports, and communicate critical issues to management
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
• Mentor and guide operational staff

Required Qualifications

• HND qualification or B.Eng / B.Tech Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering
• 5 - 10 years of experience in electrical maintenance and operations within a power, mining, or heavy industrial plant
• Strong knowledge of HT/LT systems, motor control circuits, transformers, and troubleshooting of electrical faults during shifts

Compensation

N600,000 per month
