Job Purpose

The Shawarma Cook will be responsible for preparing and serving freshly made shawarma and related fast foods. The role requires speed, accuracy, and consistency while maintaining high-quality standards, hygiene, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook shawarma, sandwiches, and other fast-food items according to recipes and company standards
• Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes
• Maintain the cleanliness of the cooking area, utensils, and equipment
• Monitor stock of ingredients, report shortages, and assist with restocking
• Ensure proper food storage, labelling, and rotation to reduce waste
• Maintain compliance with all hygiene, health, and safety standards (HACCP/NAFDAC/local)
• Work efficiently during peak hours to deliver orders on time
• Support catering services and events as needed

Qualifications & Skills

• OND qualification
• 2 - 4 years of work experience as a cook
• Proven experience specializing in shawarma and/or burgers
• Knowledge of fast-food recipes, marinades, sauces, and grilling techniques
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic food hygiene and safety knowledge
