Senior Quantity Surveyor

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to manage all financial and contractual aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will ensure projects remain within budget and meet quality standards while providing mentorship to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost plans, estimates, and budgets while monitoring project expenses to ensure alignment with financial objectives
• Prepare tender documents, analyze subcontractor quotations, and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms
• Manage variations and changes in scope, value completed work, and process payments to subcontractors
• Perform risk management and value engineering, and prepare comprehensive cost reports for clients and senior management
• Mentor, supervise, and assign work to junior quantity surveyors and commercial team members
• Liaise with architects, clients, and contractors to resolve discrepancies between drawings and Bills of Quantities (BOQ)

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Qualified QS with minimum 5 years of work experience
• Experience working with senior management
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and local building regulations
