Job Description - We are seeking a highly skilled QA/QC Engineer to ensure quality control and assurance in our construction projects. - The successful candidate will develop and implement quality control plans, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. - The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the construction industry, including quality control principles, regulations, and standards. Responsibilities - Develop and implement quality control plans, procedures, and checklists for construction projects. - Ensure quality control plans align with project requirements and industry standards. - Conduct regular inspections of construction work, including materials, equipment, and workmanship. - Perform or oversee testing of materials and equipment to ensure compliance with specifications. - Identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations from specifications. - Collaborate with construction teams to rectify defects and ensure corrective actions. - Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports. - Provide regular quality reports to project managers and stakeholders. - Ensure compliance with relevant construction industry regulations, standards, and codes - Stay up-to-date with changes to regulations and standards. - Work closely with construction teams, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure quality standards are met. - Communicate quality issues and concerns effectively. - Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance quality control. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or related field. - Proven experience in QA/QC engineering in construction (12+ years). - Strong knowledge of construction quality control principles, industry standards, and regulations. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Membership in relevant professional bodies is an added advantage (e.g. COREN, MNSE) - Experience with quality management software and tools (e.g., QMS, QMIS). - Knowledge of construction industry-specific software (e.g., Autodesk, Revit). - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
